Ok I have been on lots of diets so I think letting everyone know which ones we both have been on would be a good idea. First of all, you can lose weight with any Freakin Diet. Cut one food group out and DUH you'll lose weight. Also when you have more weight to lose, weight will come off, when you have 10-20 pounds to go, its Very hard and thats when I have kicked in with a lot of diets. That never really seemed to work, haha. I wonder why, probably because I hate following an exact menu of what somewhat else told me to eat. I do best on eating the clean foods I love around the same times everyday and centering them around my workouts and also depending on what I will be working on, that varies the diet. My point is everyone should do what works for them, use the right food, the right tools, exercise consistently, it takes time and work, and the right knowledge and the weight will come off.
Let me give you the down low, so you don't waste your precious money on these books! Like I DID!!!!
David Kirsch's The Ultimate New York Diet (Heidi Klum's vickys secret preshow trainer!)

He follows the NO ABCD,F rules. No alcohol, no bread (or crackers, anything thats bread like), No Carbs, No Dairy, and No Fruit, Follow these rules for 14 days and you will lose at least 10 pounds thats his guarentee. I lost 6 pounds, but it was no fun and so boring. All you could eat was protein shakes, bell pepppers, salads with no dressing, egg whites. That gets old fast, super tired, and you must work out the 14 days straight doing 45 min of cardio everyday. CRAZY!!!
(Check out Heidi Klum buying bell peppers, TOLD YOU!!, I love bell peppers but they cant be the basis of your diet, she could eat a cheeto and wed all go running to eat cheetos, haha!!)
Weight Watchers- I think its good because it teaches the foundations of portion size and doesn't restrict you of any foods. you have to learn how to eat the right amounts, but I think I didnt like it because it relies on the idea that you can eat a lot of store brought products, de-void of nutrition and still lose weight. I got a tad obsessive on the points and tracking, driving myself and my husband nuts.
Atkins- Too MUCH fatty protein. Not enough fruits, nutritious grains, its de-void of a lot of foods that are essential to our health and well being and relies to greatly on fatty foods. Most importantly, when you go back to eating carbs, you will gain weight. My breath smelled weird and i was not regular with this diet. ehhhh. I love fruit way too much.

Special K Diet- Retarded requires no explanation
The Fat Flush Plan- That was like a weird detox diet, wiht odd combinations of dieuritcs to make you lose weight. Drink a hot glass of water with lemon and some weird herbs in the morning, then cranberry juice, all in all just a basic formulated detox diet. BORING and you will not stick to it. I gave up after 3 days. Didn't allow me to have the energy to think clearly and workout with the vigor that I like to use.
Michael Thurmonds 6 Week Body Makeover- This is based on your body type. Its pretty basic, eat proteins, little meals, but it was just honestly boring to me. I felt I was being constricted with all these rules that supposedly are for different body types but when you look at all the meal plans, they look pretty much the same!!! I'll give an example of a day:
Breakfast- 2 egg whites or 2 oz of turkey (I dont want turkey in the morning!) oatmeal, fruit
mid snack- 2 oz of turkey or chicken with 1-2 cups lettuce
lunch- 2 oz chicken, 1/2 cup brown rice, 1-2 cups mixed veggies
Mid Snack-2 oz chicken or fish, 1 cup lettuce
Dinner- same as lunch
PM Snack- fruit or 2 oz chicken and fruit
TALK ABOUT BORING!!!!
Exercise consisted of walking at a regular pace for 45 min, and specific weight trainging with bands. Works for some, just not for me
French Women Don't Get Fat- I have to say I love this book, its just a fun read. Its written by the CEO of the champagne company, Veuve Clicquot. But its basically saying eat what you want, but very small portions, you can have cheese and cake ,but only one or 2 bites. She emphasizes setting a table, eating without tv, enjoying wine with meals, basically enjoy your food, slowly. Shes all about 3 meals a day, not really snacking. I'll give an example of a typical day:
Breakfast- piece of cheese, piece of baguette bread, glass of milk
Lunch- Chicken or fish with salad and veggies
Dinner- Lentil Soup or Pork Chops wiht apples, dessert of baked apples or piece of chocolate, glass of wine

EHH, it was nice becuase it made me think about every bite, but its just basic info, put into fancy, french terms. There are fat people in france by the way. Not everyone prances around in scarves and designer shoes, while eating baguettes, butter, and chocolate. I dont know about you, but I doubt if I ate baguettes and butter everyday I would feel good, well I would feel good, I don't think I would be dropping any serious weight, thats for sure.
Lean Cuisine Diet- I bought a lot of the pre-packaged lean cuisines and I got bored of that over a week. After researching, I realized they're not that great you and have a lot of sodium. That and tiny portions, very boring for me!
Starvation- That was FUN!!!
Breakfast- SF Jello, water, coffee, redbull
Lunch- apple, more water, coffee, redbull
Dinner- Tomato with balsamic and salt
Snack- baby carrots with mustard
Throw in insomnia and a lot of craziness and eventually you'll want to eat your own hand!!!!
